I do not currently have a Tegu. The one in my pic is a "Highly Aggressive" male Columbian that is a display animal at my local exotic pet shop. He's my snuggle buddy.
Actually missed an opportunity to get a pair of 3 year old male Argentines for $200 on Sunday.
The man who owned them left them at my table while he was walking around and as Tegus often do they drew a lot of attention. Technically I sold them for him because I am a dummy, lol.
There was one woman in particular that was very interested in them and as I was talking to my wife about picking them up the woman found the owner and purchased both of them.
I had spent roughly half an hour answering her questions on housing, feeding and temperature needs before this. One up shot is the gentleman who brought them then spent most of that money on some snakes I had on the table.
My wife fell in love so now I am looking for a Gu, lol
It might be meant to be. I'm not saying I regret getting my girl ... but I often wondered if I shouldn't have pulled the trigger just when I did. She was very differently colored (as you can see in my profile pic) and she created quite the stir because of it at the show. I kept leaning towards the high whites. There were two that were awesome. But ... people, including hubby and son were oohing and ahing over her. It made me feel stupid to not jump on it. Know what I mean? Anyway, I miss having a high white now. And she has been a real bugger to tame down to what I want. Maybe I'm wrong and this was meant to be because maybe the others I was looking at would've been aggressive. Idk.
