OK . I know I'm new but I could use some quick help.. Zeus has one leg that is super swollen looking. He can walk fine using it.. My wife I think dropped him and is scared to tell me. Please someone let me know what I can do to help him. He really tough pain. He inherited metabolic bone disease from birth. I have spent over 1000 on vet bills and at the moment cannot take another blow like that. Any ideas I will upload pictures of this if I get serious answers. At his current state I don't want to handle him as much. He has been eating carnivore care I believe it's called. As for the time I had him he has never had a large appetite. Thanks for your help

I am not a vet. My experience is that a swollen limb is usually either from a break or an infection. Either way, a vet trip, probably with x-ray, is needed. I'm sorry as I understand you've put a lot into him in vet care already.

OK that is good info believe it or not..the vet will not splint him.I have had an issue where another reptile had a broken limb they just gave him pain meds. I will give him some anti inflammatory and pain meds I have many reptiles and have a multitude of antibiotics pain medication liquid calcium...at one point I had to syringe feed him and give him injections which scared the crap out of me. I'll call the vet and see if I can get a free consult. I just don't start givingy babies anything without knowing for sure.

The best of luck with him. In some ways they're easy to harm, but in other ways can be incredibly quick to repair/recover.

Thank you ...I appreciate your help. Kinda disappointed this forum has only one person extending a helping hand...I was hoping to get a few different perspectives of diagnosis. In my experience usually swelling is related to fractures .
