[Hudson Valley]

My husband and I recently adopted two Black and White Argentine Tegus. We are very happy to have found this site as we want to make sure Ku and Bodhi receive what care they need. Right now we are working to establish their trust with us. Based upon what we have read, they are likely both males. We look forward to learning more from the experienced people on this site. Hello, congrats on your new family addition. I'm just guessing, you are aware you will not be able to house them together for long? Two males will most likely not get along

Hello and thank you for your reply. Yes, we realize that males can be territorial or not get along with each other. Right now they are small so we have a little time before separate accommodations will be required.

You are correct. Both were adopted via Tegus Only.

LOL My husband is very happy about that! I swear I can sometimes notice they have grown overnight. I probably should measure their length and monitor their weight. I did that with the ferrets (who are sadly now deceased). This may sound odd, but the tegus remind me of ferrets - - or how I felt around them.

I could see the comparison. Smart and curious. I encourage taking an initial length and weight measurement for the fun of comparison in a year or less.
