Hi there, my name is Jordon! I just got my first black and white Argentine Tegu. I'm super excited, as this is an animal I've wanted for awhile now. He/she doesn't have a name yet. Any suggestions or taming tips are much appreciated and welcome! Thanks!!

Hi Jordan- Welcome to a very helpful site. Knowledgeable and friendly members. Feel free to post a pic of your new tegu. where'd you get it from, etc?

Also, check out various threads to get you started on topics like taming. In the meantime, throwa used t-shirt in his hide box so he's familiar with your scent.

Welcome and good luck. As to the name choices, think outside of box. Since you don't know the sex of your little one, pick something that would go for either a boy or a girl.
Thank you! Still debating over a couple of names.

Thank you, as well! That was the first thing I did when the guy got all settled in. :)

This is a photo of him. He still has a lot of green on him, but I don't know the exact age. We got him from LLL Reptiles at the Sacramento Reptile Show this past weekend. I absolutely adore him/her! I've mixed up some ground turkey, chicken hearts, yellow squash, and some blueberries for him. Very excited to start working with the little guy!
