Hi there from Arizona!

I've been a lurker around here for awhile, but I'll finally be in a situation where I can get a tegu of my own in a month or so, so I figured I'd make an account to actually post. I've had many reptiles throughout my life and currently keep a few ball pythons, crested geckos, and bearded dragons. Though I have never owned (or been owned) by a large lizard, I have helped care for iguanas and and a black and white female when I was a zookeeper and keeper intern.

I am currently in the process of having a custom enclosure built and hopefully picking up a smaller, temporary one this weekend. Hopefully, if all goes as planned I will be bringing home a baby chacoan female, though if she turns out to be a male later on, that's totally fine, too.

I look forward to interacting more on the forum and learning as much as I can!

A couple things have occurred since I last posted here (though I've been reading a lot!) -- got a temporary enclosure in the process of being set up for this lovely lady who is coming to live with me soon. This is the breeder's picture, but she's 50% blue, 25% chacoan, and 25% red.
