Hey, my names Eric and I recently rescued a black and white tegu. He suffered some bad nose rub. And I just want to know if the scale, which is half dead. Basically a scab. Will come off the next time he sheds? Or would I have to take it off myself? I really could use help. Please and thank you.

You can pour hydrogen peroxide on it to clean and loosen it. It will fizz. If it bothers the lizard too much stop. Otherwise once each day. Either it'll come off on its own or next shed. Make sure humid conditions especially when going into shed.
