HELP! My tegu dissapeared!!!

So i got a great tegu from Bobby last week tuesday and he has been doing great. But i didnt see him at all yesterday even when i put food into his enclosure, i thought this was strange but i figured he was just burrowed in his substrate so i didnt think too much of it. but today i completely took his tank apart and he is nowhere to be found. I have no idea how he got out of the tank, and i have looked everywhere for him. I put out a plate of cooked turkey so im hoping that draws him out from where ever he is. i dont know what else to do!

I would say keep food out that wont go bad quickly, Bobby also mentioned at one time to dust certain areas with like flour to see if any activity might close you in on its location.

myn has escaped once too. look in dark places. under things. i found myn under my bed. just look really hard. myn wouldnt come out for food. just keep looking. he'll show up. keep the food out though.

Keep your hopes up, and your eye's open. I lost mine for a bit once. I found her deep in my closet, under my search and rescue gear. Mainly look in dark places!!! Good luck, and let us know how it goes!

Well i have been looking nonstop with no luck !!! my only real concern is that my cat will find him before i do... I have looked everywhere. in closets under beds, in shoes. there is no blood or body parts anywhere so i dont think the cat got him yet. i really dont understand how he got out either.

Well i found him today he was curled up behind a laundry basket. I was just giving up hope too. He looks fine and he just ate a bunch of turkey so i think everything is going to be ok.

tegus are incrdibly smart so you need to figure out how he got out because he will do it again
