HELP Tegu hibernation?

My 5-8 month black and white is holed up in his hide and not coming out. Do juvi black and white tegus hibernate and if so how long is this expected to last this has been going on about 4 weeks before he was as always eating like a little piggy then he started eating less untill finally he camped out in his favorite hide and hasnt come out in five days. What should I do. Oh and to clear this up i didnt try to induce hibernation he started it his temps are as always 80with a basking spot of 100 and about 70 percent humidity

you can keep him warm and offer food but he probably won't eat. this could last as long as april or may 2010. to save money you could offer food less often, but keep fresh water in the cage.
