Help with baby tegu!

Hello, I need help with baby bw tegus
I recently purchased a black and white tegu
And I wasn't aware that the guy was selling imperfect tegus
The one I received has a kink at the start of his tail, making the tail extremely crooked.

Is anyone familiar with this and will it ever recover?

As high up as that kink is I doubt it will ever be straight again. It may straighten out some as it ages but probably never be perfect. Did you get a discount for the crooked tail? If not I would call and ask if they could discount some back or swap out but then you would probably be out the shipping fees, other than that I would say ask a vet.

Probably permanent. I say probably.

My yearling tegu has a kink a third of the way up on his tail but it seems to be getting strait over time hope this helps

That is very odd. To me, I would say it's permanent but you can always have a vet take a look to be sure.
