Hi I have a 3 year old BnW tegu male and have recently rescued a 7 month old female from a really bad home is it possible for me to get her living with
My male duke or is that a bad idea shes in a separate tank now just want to know if they could co-exist?
Judging from her age,.. I'm sure there's a pretty good size difference from your male. Which can be a problem in itself. Some have been successful keeping more than one tegu together. But depending on the tegus that could always change. If one becomes more territorial or dominate over the other they'll have to be separated anyway.
What ever you decided do some research on integrating the two and quarantine the female for at least 30 days before introducing them.
