Long time lurker here figured I should join. Got my buddy this July from Hectorshabitat.com. Believe its a he, bw/blue cross, anyhow he's great. Good temperament, very inquisitive and growing like a weed. He was 2 weeks old when we got himand about 8 inches. 2 months later he's 23 inches! Eats everything and my wife loves him as much as I do. His name is Boudreaux and I just wanted to show him off. I'd also like to thank the community for answering so many questions prior to my joining.

Hi Rebecca, you ain't kiddin! He has shed completely every week since he's been here. He is my first tegu although I've owned many reptiles in the past so I don't have personal experience with "normal". That being said, he eats everything. Whole mice (chopped up frozen adults), ground turkey, eggs, eggshells, dubia, crickets, superworms, silkworm pupae, salmon, green beans, blue berries and collard greens. Also recieves repashy calcium supplement. Good humidity, good temps,120 basking 80 avg ambient and lots of love. He is a fat boy and will eat 3 times a day if you provide it. Ive backed him off to once a day now that he's eating more whole rodents.
