I've been meaning to join for quite a while (since last November!) and I finally got around to doing it. I'm the proud owner of a yearling Columbian, a pair of Argentines B&W, and numerous other snakes and lizards, and outside of the reptile husbandry I'm a paleontologist and zoologist, kaiju (giant monsters) fanatic and nature lover. I spend most of my free time with my pets along with collecting various dinosaur and monster related stuff. I'm looking forward to a long time here with all my fellow Tegu-lovers!

Hello and welcome to the site. What are your tegus names? Oh, and my tegu is named Godzilla... so I bet you can guess that I am a kaiju fan too, lol.

Happy to be a member!

My Argentine's are Gojira and Gorgo (both males). Nice to see another kaiju fan here, haha. My only monitor (an Argus) is named Varan, my Ball Python is Manda, and one of my Bearded Dragons is Baragon so I have quite a lot in the way of giant monster-named pets.

I very nearly bought a snapping turtle but I don't have a pond or any room for one. At some point I'll probably end up with a beetle of some sort and I'll call it Megalon. I'd love to get an Armadillo lizard at some point, probably call it Anguirus.

You could get one of those giant japanese beetles, just dont try your very own Destroy all Monsters movie. That would not end well.

Probably not, haha, although I'd bet on Gojira or Gorgo. Varan's a tough guy but they've got at least 10 pounds on him.

10 pounds, hehe, my Zilla is just in the Jr level right now. Shes not ready to go building stomping, or monster romping yet. Oh, I think a praying mantis might make a good Gigan. (ignoreing the giant mantis in the zilla films)

I love them all (even the American one to be honest, even though its a terrible representation of Godzilla) but my favorite is definitely the first one. My second is a tie between Final Wars and Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack!

Hehe thats pretty cool. I too like the 98 american Godzilla movie. I wouldnt say its a terrible representation of zilla, just a different interperitation. Its a mutated iguana, and looks like its sort of possible. It wasnt a menising powerhouse of destruction, but it was created by mans folly. Anyway if a 10 story reptile was running through downtown NY, everyone would still call it Godzilla. The movie wasnt bad, it just focused on the boring human characters way to much. I love how you say Giant Monsters all our Attack, because that one is also tied for my favroite. The bar is set so high in that movie, it makes all other ones look silly in comparison. The other one is Godzilla 1985 because that was my first zilla movie. I watched it when I was really young and my mom tells me how I instantly fell in love with zilla, and cried at the end. Now Final Wars, Im totaly bipolar about. It is at the same time, one of the best and one of the worst zilla movies. All of the giant monster action is excelent, and amazing, some of the best. But the human stuff.... oh god. I think its the worst in any movie. The acting is sooo terrible, its so cheezy (and they are trying to be serious) and poorly written, and poorly everything, and Im sorry but I dont want huge kung fu sequences in my zilla movie, and even bad kung fu at that. It rips off so many other movies, and even DBZ. The human element in Final Wars is just... badong (a combo of bad and wrong).

An honorable mention for my fav too should be Godzilla vs Gigan. I just love that one.
