Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to fulfill my longtime dream of getting one of these lovely lizards.

I keep a rather diverse exotic collection as is, ranging from snakes and lizards to rats, mice, and ferrets. I do have lots of reptile experience and am starting work on my enclosure. It's going to be 8X4 and I am deciding if it will be 3 or 4 high (need to get out my measuring tape!!).

The guy I'm getting is already full grown, he is in a foster home right now. He was a rescue kiddo and we've bonded already. He is an Argentine Black and White.

I figured I'd better join a group as I embark on this venture. I am blessed to have a friend with a vast knowledge on these guys, she's got a pair of them and was who rescued my boy originally, but more knowledge is always better.

Hi Dreams. Welcome. This is a very helpful site. Sounds like you're off to a good start with your experience and enclosure plans. Do you have an idea of his age?

I think he's 3 or 4. I'd have to double check. He has a terrible story- he nearly died. But he's doing well now, and I am stoked to be able to offer him a forever home here. I'm a board member of the local herp society, which is where he's fostered, and they always bring him to meetings so I have spent a lot of time with him. He's a darling boy with a great temperament.

That is really great to hear. Maybe post a pic sometime.
