hi my names billy and I have a black and white cross blue tegu he is just over a year old my fiancée rescued him for me at Christmas he is looking a lot better than when I got him he has grown in length but not so much in the body , and now I am having trouble with what bedding to use I used to use bark but he started to eat it high is not good and the coco block that I'm now using smells can any one help usView attachment 9505 View attachment 9505

try taking out the bedding for a while and using something cheap like newspaper or something similar. he may be eating the bark because he is really hungry. be sure that you're feeding him until he doesnt want to eat anymore. it will help him in the long run.

When you're ready to put bedding back in, I highly recommend using Lambert's Gardening soil and their peat moss mixed with a little sand. Has minimal smell and what smell there is smells like soil after a fresh rain. Very pleasant.
