Well thats weird that the log has mold on it. I have one in my habitat and there hasn't been any mold. You can try snake boxes. They are plastic and you can probably get thim at any pet store.

Cut a hole in a cat litter box and turn it upside down. Throw a flat rock on top or mulch and you will never know its there.

Jefroka, what did you use to cut it out? I tryed cutting a litter box and ended up breaking the thing in half.

I used a roto zip but a dremel tool would work fine as well or even a jig saw.

I use cheap plastic litter boxes also. I have a stack of them in various sizes with various size holes in them in my basement. I use a box cutter to make the holes.

It might not be plastic but certainly cheap making your own clay hide. I was thinking of doing this for my columbian and king snake... I just don't have any flour atm D=.
