I can't seem to get mine to stay still when I hold him he always wants to walk or get on the floor. He's not allowed to run around anymore until he's a little bigger because he decided to get inside my walls the other day lol

Uh oh! That's scary!
When you hold him you'll have to give him a light amount of pressure in your hand. Make him feel secured and warm but don't squeeze too tight. A lot of folks use blankets and maybe a big plastic bin would help you be able to handle him without the threat of him running off and disappearing

Also use a harness w/ leash and tegu proof your house. Block off any areas where you don't want it to go, under or behind cabinets, appliances and things like that. There's usually holes under kitchen and bathroom cabinets in the corners that they can get into.

As Josh said, a rubbermaid tote or even sit in the bathtub with him, that way he can crawl around on you and if he gets out of your hands he cant run off too far.
