For the most part, if a healthy tegu is eating every day, it should defecate every day. Defecation rates and amounts depend on the amount and types of food fed, on body temperature, amount and type of exercise, and on the calcium levels in the body, as calcium controls smooth muscle contractions that regulate defecation. So if the malnourishment includes hypocalcaemia (low calcium levels in the blood) then you might expect the tegu to defecate less often until that issue is cleared up.
