There's been a lot of talk about Tegu's becoming "dog-tame". I've seen Juancho's video of him eating cherries on youtube, and this specimen definitely appears to be very tame to say the least - although I thought it was discouraged to hand-feed these guys? Anyway, is it true that Tegu's will go out of their way to get the attention of their owners? Are they really this friendly?
I had an iguana as a kid that would allow me to pick it up and pet it but that was the extent of our "socialization". Are B&W's really more affectionate in general than other reptiles? Would love to know what "dog-tame" means. To me, it means your lizard would come to you when called by name and want attention. Am I right about this?
