I'm in the process of acquiring my first black and white Argentine tegu and I was directed to this site for helpful information! I've owned a wide variety of lizards and currently have a beardie and 2 leopard geckos. I've been reading up on the tegu's care and what they need, but I'm also wanting to hear firsthand input from people that love them as family as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

To my understanding, most people would tell you to look into the black and white tegu. Because they are great for beginners, I myself love all my animals as my family.. However I think the lizard family is awesome, and there is much to learn from them and I believe each one has a different personality. It is very rewarding once you put the time in with your lizard. Building trust is a huge factor...
