New tegu mama saying hello from the Lone Star State. We just got an Argentine b&w from a local reptile expo last weekend and little Xena is still settling in. She's our first and will probably be our only lizard, as we've also got a small host of snakes (several corns, a ball python, and a boa constrictor) as well as a small gang of cats, and we're thrilled to bits to have her. Our snakes are sweet as can be but it's very nice being able to mix it up a little. Y'know, with the legs and ability to blink and all.
Been lurking for about a week and I'm really interested to learn more about tegu behaviors and body language. So far I'm finding that Xena really loves kicking substrate into her water bowl right after I clean it. Nice to meet you all!
