My cage is a 5x3x3 for a hatchiling this is pretty big will get a 8x4x4 when the time comes but is it okay for me to put a small humidifier in the cage? It just won't hold in the humidity.

I wouldn't put it in the cage. Can you connect a pipe/hose to it and feed it into the enclosure? Post some pics of the enclosure.

or you could buy a reptifogger, comes with the pipeing ifhad mine for 3 years and have had no troble. it can be controlled better from low to super high. its not to exspensive but i think it would work better. they are cheap online. and i think it comes with a warrenty.

Whats the difference between the repti-fogger and a humidifier? I bought the humidifiers I used for $20 and a couple bucks worth of PVC pipe.

Just a lot of money and productivity, james. The repti-foggers cost more and produce less (and evidently burn out more).

I need to "design" something that is "specifically" for reptiles so I can get rich.

I tried to rig a humidifier for niles cage but the steam wouldn't go into his cage ...just condensed in the pipe. So I got a reptifogger...yes I read all of the complaints about them on various sites. And yes mine makes a bunch of noise until I mess with it then the motor or fan or whatever shuts up...( meaning quiets not shuts down :) )... but I just really needed moisture for niles so I gave it a shot.it really does put that fog out.I'm happy with it so far. Just hoping it doesn't die on me before james comes out with his product. Haha

My product has already been designed. I just need to cross off Walgreens and write Herp Humidity Maker, get someone to mass produce them and get them in stores. Shouldn't be long.

there are tons of videos on youtube about making humidifiers or tweaking them for the enclosure.I have to agree with james, there is no reason so spend $60+ on something you can buy for a fraction of the price. Just because it says for reptiles on it does not mean it is the only thing you can use.

Lol ill just buy a spray van and keep the shower on at all times. And I'll build him a swimming pool with a slide, maybe I should just give him an r/c car and a water park pass and he should be fine..

I rigged my own humidifier from a Walgreens brand that cost me roughly 22 dollars and turned it into a fog machine. Don't buy that "Repti Fogger" reptile branded crap, I had one and it died not even two months after getting it. My walgreens humidifier still works but I don't use it.

I already have the fogger...ugh. and until it breaks it is doing a good job. But i do need to figure out a modified one for when it stops working. My mistake was buying a steam one and some tubing and all it did was condense and drip...so... are you guys using cool mist or ultrasonic or...? With the varied youtube videos I wasn't sure what my best option was...

I have the zoo med repti fogger. It was cheap from Pet Mountain. It doesn't really put out enough fog for a big cage. I have it set to go on for a half hour then off for an hour 24hrs a day. I have had it a few months and now it makes noise sometimes till I hit it. When it breaks, I will just spray down the cage 2x a day with the 1 gallon cheapo garden sprayer that I have been using. I fill the sprayer with Evian and a handful of rose petals to keep Gwangi smelling his best.
