I think another thing Anthony might be concerned with as myself is, do they say once or twice a week because of the fur on a larger rodent? ( I've heard alot of people say Tegus arent setup internally to digest a diet of rodents on a daily basis )
So can you feed pinkies more often/ daily mixed within other foods and still do a larger rodent once a week?

I Feed rodents twice a week. Pinkies and hoppers for hatchlings and young tegus. Adults I feed Med. Rats and chicks twice /week. My adult tegus if I feed large rats just make A mess and dont eat the rat. so I just feed Med. rats. Rodents and chicks are good to feed for keeping the weight up in GUs.

they say that because rodents are high in fat content it itsn't good for any living animal to eat to much fat on adaily basis because it can lead to health risks

Our female Blue Tegu got impacted from rodent fur last year. After laying eggs she was really thin so I gave her a small rat every other day for 2 weeks to fatten her back up. She went over a month without pooping! It took a couple of trips to the vet and daily baths to get her regular again.

I know Bobby feeds hairless rats to his GUs. it my be the way to go. I feed alittle of everything and not to many rodents. I feed more chicks than rodents and I get them cheap to around 10 cents a chick. GUs love chicken lol I think rodents especially rats are hard for GUs to digest.

Anthony and I recently split a $100 order of rodents from American RodentÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦ I knew going into the order I wanted all hairless rodentsÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦ Fortunate for me small hairless mice were the best price per gram for rodents so I got 350 of them for $50...

I still feed Ground Turkey about half the timeÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦ and still offer scrambled egg or egg yolk more days than notÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦ And I still think Anthony should breed **** roaches and hook me up with some occasionally ;)

SoÃ?¢ââ??¬Ã?¦

Besides fur, are there any reasons not to feed Tegus Rodents more often than a couple of times per week?
