You unknowingly bought him with rickets/mbd from a vendor that was either uncrupulous, ignorant, or both. Get your tegu to a qualified vet that specializes in exotics ASAP. Best of luck. Keep posted.

Is there anything i can do to help him get better? Or is this permanent? The shaking.

May need a liquid injection of calcium by vet. In the meantime, very heavily fortify all food with powdered calcium and be certain that he receives adequate UVB AND sufficient basking heat of 110/115 F. Temp grade to its hide at mid-upper 70s F.
