i recently allowed my two tegus to free roam together under close supervision nero mostly basked after eating a big meal. now this is the confusing part i have not been able to get achilles to eat much since i have had him. i held him til nero was done eating and when put him down he circled around her bowl then started eating while she layed down not far from the bowl. he is not scared of her at all and he is only 18" and she is 40" probably more. now everytime i allow him to free-roam all he do is follow her around. it was funny because today he climbed on her back and they walked around like this for a few minutes. i thought larger tegus made smaller tegus nervous. especially since he is very skiddish thats why i was very nervous about introducing them, but they get along better than i thought they would. he seems so fascinated with her he constantly smells her(toungue flicking) and climbing over her. i dont allow them to free roam unsupervised or for long periods of time.
