Ok so the other day my mom decided to let storm out the cage, i havnt been letting him out much because all he does is find a spot and go to sleep, so he comes out plops down by her feet and falls asleep, now when ever he see's her he gets a bit excited and wants out idk whats the deal lol im da one buying da food and feeding them lol ill admit im a bit jealous i dont get this treatment

Haha I agree. My red male Buzz use to prefer my girlfriends attention over mine. She barely ever did anything for him but when he'd see her he was all over her.

Im thinking thats the case because that was his 1st time officially meeting her, usualy i let him out when she isnt home, crazy part is i let him out briefly today and he headed right to her bedroom lol now he is throwing a tantrum cause i put him bk in lol this guy is craz

Lol idk what to do yesterday he distroyed the cage, idk how he did it but he moved a 10lb. rock 4' across the cage, i had no choice but to let him out after he busted one of the heat lamps i thought for sure the front glass was next, oan after she left for work he went bk normal lol didnt even act out today thank god

They are strong lizards,back in 2002 when i had my argentine blk/wht male adult i would let him free roam and no lie he would craw under my kitchen table and knocked over my chair lol.

Mine had a temper tantrum the other day too. Dirt was flying everywhere. She made her wading tub a mud bath. All because she decided she wants to start roaming and I told her she was too little. Needless to say, she won. Now I have to let her free roam for a while and try not to lose her..but she is much happier and her cage is in order.

Kinda cute post. On the original topic, maybe the GU just prefers someone who doesn't "disturb" him...ie feeding, cleaning, bathing........might be an annoying, yet necessary ritual to them
