I have been seeing an increase on the number of ads that have CH Arg Tegus for sale. It seems really early in the season for CB and the CH makes me think the imports are here.

In all the pictures, none have green heads and are a bit bigger than a hatching which is why I am thinking they are not from the northern Hampshire.

Anyone noticed this?

Definitely, it usually starts around the beginning of March with Colombians. All of a sudden everyone has Colombian babies available, whether they sell'em individually or in groups.

I was at a show in New Hampshire yesterday and was shocked by the amount of baby columbians, b/w and even reds! There was 4-5 dealers that had them. The dead give away was that they all looked EXACTLY the same. They all had the same patterns, coloration and were the exact same length. When asked they all told me they were cb.

Most people see or hear CH/CB and don't think of where, they may automatically assume somewhere here in the states. But that's not always the case. CB/CH in South America ranched on a farm or else where it's still an import.

If it's an import then it's an import, I'm fine with that just let me know, but not everyone feels the same way. So they just say CB/H to make some people feel better about it. When in reality those eggs also had to come from somewhere and it wasn't here in the States.

It doesn't make much difference if you take a live animal from the wild or their eggs, it can still affect the population one way or another. In some cases it's less stressful for the animals but,. it's still an import.

I saw a post from snakes at sunset (facebook) saying "red tegu's are here" (along with other animals) and I too thought it was a little early in the season
