as the title says
is this wood good for an enclosure.... this enclosure is already done, i just want to know if its good or not for my reptiles...... its a little smelly , but i dont know ,, the smell can be magnified by humidity and heat , as you can see thÃ?Æ?Ã?« cage is correcty ventilated

sure, just use a primer like water based kilz and then maybe a couple coats of water based paint

The wood will soak up water and rot if left as is...

I used Kilz on the exterior and Drylock (concrete sealer) on the inside of my plywood tank...

As a result of the drylock the bottom of the cage can actually hold water...
