As i have been saying in my last few threads my gu sam hasnt been out much or eating well since i have gotten him which i thought was due to brumation which is okay ... but the last week he has been out and about alot more and the time he is out is getting longer and longer everyday but he still wasnt eating right so i thought i would give his former owner a call to ask him wat kinda diet he had him on ... which he told me that all he was feeding him was live foods like crickets and live pinks and maby turkey 1 or 2 a month which didnt make me to happy... so today when he came out and finished basking i thought i would give him some dubia since i have plenty of them ... so i put some dubia in the tub since thats were i feed him and then i went to get him out of his enclosure to eat well when i got him to the edge of the tub and he saw them moving all around he went crazy jumped from my hands into the tub and started chasing them around and chowing down which made me happy after he was done he whipped his mouth (which is to funny to me) then came to the side of the tub were i was at and started scatching so i put my hand down infront of him and he climbed right up my arm which is good since he has never done it before .... so how should i go about getting him used to eating other things since his former owner got him spoiled on live feeders because i want him to be on a wider variety of a diet????

Try offering him different foods every day and see what he likes. If he's being picky, you can try mixing new foods in with old foods.
