I was thinking of using this light fixture for the cage, is there anyway to connect a power cord to this? So I could turn it off at night?

There should be connection wires in the back of the fixture. Take an extention cord and cut the female end off and separate the two wires inside. Strip those wires and connect them with wire nuts to the appropriate wires of the fixture.

I would suggest crimps with heat shrinks and then a heat shrink tube with adhesive over the splices due to the humidity. You would not have to worry about shorts or corrosion. Just a suggestion based on my automotive background.

I would also go with heat shrink tubes, not only for shorts or corrosion but it just looks better aesthetically

I would mount that fixture on a shallow 4"by4" plastic or metal electrical box . That could be mounted on the cage. then I would buy some 14 gage three wire cord and a 1/2" by 3/8 cord grip to run cord into 4"by4" electrical box . Then I would wire the cord wires to a male 115 v. plug buy a timer and plug into that. Then I could set my on off times.
But thats just me.
