Was wondering if anybody knew if Tegu's can see a full spectrum of light? It's said that snakes can't see green, red and blue light....

Reason for this is that I heat my Tegu using coloured halogen bulbs as there long lasting and get temps spot on. I use strip lighting for UV.

So what do you all think...

Never thought of this. I know they need full spectrum lighting, but seeing as most my gu's were kept outside, I never really thought of it. Hm.

I'm going to guess they can. I know a lot of lizards have excellent color vision and quite a few can see into the UV spectrum.
