A mercury vapor bulb will do just that in one bulb. (you might still need nighttime heat though)

Good brands are Trex, Powersun, and MegaRay for Mercury Vapor bulbs. You can get them online for 35-40$

Nighttime heat is not required unless your room temp goes under 65.

I use 100W PowerSuns for hatchlings & juvi's. Adults don't require as much so I use Halogen bulbs for heat and ReptiSun 10.0's for UVB.

get the powersun 100 watt like dave said ... it makes things simple.,.. also u can add a small watt strip bulb to add extra lighting.... make sure u check ur temps for basking spot so its not too hot....

I got the 100w Powersun in my smaller enclosure now and its working great, I purchased the 160w for my larger enclsoure at the same time since they had such a good rep on here., so far it lives up to the hype. Definately recommend it.

The only thing to be weary of is these mercury vapor bulbs will still work and produce plenty of heat but the uvb slowly declines so after 6-9 months you need to chunk it and get a new one. Bobby told me that when they start shaking that it's time for a new one but i don't want it to get that far so i just get a new one every 6 months. oh and the uvb only penetrates to just over a foot so it needs to be close.

You must be thinking about florescent UVB bulbs.

The minimum recommended distance for a 100W MegaRay is 12". UVGuide shows useful UVB output at over 24" <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.uvguide.co.uk/mercvapournarrowfloods.htm#reptileuvmegarays" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.uvguide.co.uk/mercvapournarr ... uvmegarays</a><!-- m --> ReptileUV recommends replacing the MegaRay bulbs at 1 year. <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.reptileuv.com/mega-ray-product-questions.php?nav=h" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.reptileuv.com/mega-ray-produ ... .php?nav=h</a><!-- m -->
