so zeus being his second day here just ate over a dozen crickets and he ate yesterday some ground turkey :) but sadly i had to feed him in his enclosure i wanted to put him in the bin but he dosnt let me close to pic him up yet

If your tegu will not allow you to get close to him, you may need to use welding gloves. If your animal thinks it can get away with biting you, and that biting you will keep you away, it will continue to display that behavior. You need to break it of bad behavior.

he's just a baby its not aggression its fight or flight and hes choosing flight its just he runs......very fast and i dont wana force grab him and the only thing i can get ahold of is his tail and im afraid if i pick him up by his tail ill hurt him

Don't pick him up by the tail... he may drop his tail if you grab him by it.

I know its not a reccomended practice but I feed my tegus in their enclosure til the get big enough to feed while free roaming, 6 tegus later and 0 food aggression behaviour problems(sometimes I still feed in the enclosure when I get really pressed for time) think about this, bobby hill has a lot of tegus, do you think he feeds them in seperate spaces? That would be inane

ya thats what i decided today was im just gunna feed him in his enclosure till he lets me pic him up
