Ha! That's something else lol. That monitor had been in a few scraps before, looks like it had a nice gouge out of the top of its tail. Another nice one is the old discovery channel video of a Komodo versus a cobra.
There's a pretty interesting video around of, if I recall, a White-throated Monitor (Varanus albigularis albigularis) eating a cobra he encountered near a termite mound. The vid was cool because the cobra bit the mon several times and the lizard looked a little wobbly from the effects of the venom. Didn't stop him from swallowing the snake though (both pieces :shock: ).
