I am new here and I'm going to be purchasing an Argentine soon would like a baby but a yearling would be OK I love reptiles and have had many and always wanted a tegu so any advice would be welcomed
Yeah money is no issue I have been contemplating getting a yearling tegu from tegus only in flordia I was wondering if anyone has heard of them or done business with them it will be my first tegu
If it is the place I am thinking, I know a lot of people have issues with them because I believe they capture and sell wild ones. I prefer captive bred myself but alot of people are very happy with them also. I worry about parisites or health issues from them living in the wild. Keep us updated on your future gu!
If you'd rather go to someone that has a long, pristine record with reptiles, tegus especially, Ty Parks is also located in Florida I believe. He breeds outstanding gu's. I've heard very, very mixed reports about the one I am thinking of in Florida as the other poster above has. Everything from people loving their animals they got from him to those that ran into lizards that had parasites, were not healthy and especially had issues with shipping. But I understand if you'd like to help the Florida situation or take in what is essentially a rescue I suppose.
