We have male b&w, he is a year old n we have had him for almost a month. He is a very happy friendly guy, willing to explore n check everything out, not aggression towards other reptiles or animals, (we have 3 bearded dragons, 3 geckos, 3 snakes, 2 dogs n a bird, lol, we bought a zoo!!)
His tank is 72x18x24. His temps are 93f with 30% humidity. But he won't eat!! We did our research before we got him, actually planned his arrival for almost a yr before we got him. The person we got him from said he fed f/t mice every other day. Research said its OK but better that he have a mix of fruit veggies n real meat. So we did up collard greens w endive, some mandarins oranges w shredded butternut squash, Raspberry's and shredded mango along w some chicken hearts n livers and coated all this w raw egg. Still wouldn't eat. Tried the mice again, wouldn't touch them. Finally put a mouse in his mouth n he would chew n swallow, he had three this way. Ugh so fusterated. Can they go into hibernation? The room he is in is only about 68f, and he is next to a gecko? I don't want a sick tegu, some ideas pls.
Thanks

His Temps and his humidity is way to low. Should be 60-80% humidity and 100-130 degree temps. He's not eating because it's not enough heat or humidity

You can hide the veggies in the meat mixture or inside a whole prey item. They may not like that or leafy greens but it is good for them

Wait. High temps good but he MUSt be able to get to lower temps during the day and night. If his thighs and taillook full, you're not starving him.
