I've read a number of the threads about sexing but I am a novice still. I have had him/her for two weeks now but I haven't really looked until now to sex it.

If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. He/she is 22 inches and is quite friendly but a big keen on trying to eat anything (including my fingers!) that enters into its tank.

I was told by the shop it is probably around 9-10 months old but I am hoping to get a more definate answer this weekend. Photos are attached.

Thanks.

It's a boy.

At 9-10 months, an Argie should be pushing 36-40" total length.

This is the time of rheir life where they eat a lot and grow a lot. Feed him ad libitum. Feed him like you're going to eat him.

Thanks for the reply.

Roughly how old would you think he is?

I feed him locusts, super worms and mice at the minute. Do you have anymore recommendations?

My pleasure. Well, maybe 4 mo. old if typical feeding at the store?

I recommend a lot of frozen/thawed pinks, fuzzies, etc., dusted with calcium.

Some respectful differences of opinion on this, but I prefer to present food in a bowl while they ain't lookin'.
