You could start with weanlings but I would not get too many he will be eating hoppers soon. I have never fed a hatchling so I could be wrong.

Wow they really size those little ones lol. I had no issues feeding Guru regular pinkies, some were larger than others. He'd eat 3-4 at a time. He's a regular black and white and was about a foot when I got him. It was only a few weeks before he was eating fuzzies. Now a year later, he takes small/medium rats.

Now that I'm looking more, I would go for the fuzzies right off the bat depending on the size of your tegu. The pinkies are mostly water, there isn't much to them.

fuzzes are far too large for my new baby extreme! but the last batch of pinkies I got were tiny, so he eats four to 5 at a time! My colombian is about 22 inches long still has a tough time with larger fuzzes and small hoppers. I ran into the same problem with shipping! I was excited to find the prices on mice direct.com but they charge 45.00 for shipping!

Get him some roaches, chicken gizzards and hearts, and tilapia filets. Pinkies and fuzzies aren't very beneficial to them anyway so not a big deal.

Where are you from??

I think there are a few others on here from Ohio. Not sure how close you guys might be to each other, but if close enough you could all get together and place an order through RodentPro and split shipping.
