Well Roman is finally settling in to a routine. He is a funny guy. He let's me pick him up now and told him. He likes having his back scratched. But if I do it when he is coming out of his enclosure to roam around he raises himself up and chuffs at me.lol. He is extremely curious and I find that he likes to climb.he is not food aggressive at all. Actually, he only wants to eat every two days. He is having a bad shed this month. Taking forever for it to complete. I give him fish oil on his food. He has grown three inches in the three months I've had him.

His personality will come out more and more as he spends time with you and he gets older. It takes awhile for a Tegu to fully trust. If you think he's trusting you now...just wait after about month 8 or 9. The live factor will be applied as long as you keep doing good with him.

Yea ic can't say enough about this male juvenile I got from tegu only.I couldn't have got a better tegu.I got him from tegus only and we was brought in from the everglades but you would never know he was in the wild a day.he runs lose at any time he wants he goes back and forth to his room to bask.he has laid and napped with me on the couch and even my six year old son plays with him.the only thing I've noticed he doesn't care much for,is being filled with when he is in his hide.he doesn't really show aggression but you can certainly tell he doesn't want bothered.I'm so thankful to have got this guy and I wouldn't trade him for any of the high dollar ones in the market.he was a scratch n dent sale because he(Rodney)thought it had either a broke or deformed leg.I didn't have it but a couple days and it never favored the leg again.I feel so very lucky to of ended up with things guy.tegusonly is a great place to get your tegu.I have no complaints whatsoever

I think Argies are naturally well-suited to captive care, and not knowing this can lead a person to incorrectly think captive breds are tamer.

Rodney does a superb job of removing tegus despite people stealing his traps, etc.

Mine are from Rodney and are gentle and interesting.
