Hi, My tegu has been mostly inactive due to winter but today she came out to bask.I noticed that her lips were out a bit so I looked up what it could be. I found mouth rot on google and believe that is what it is. Here are some pictures and maybe someone could help confirm what it is. Yes I have already made an appointment with a vet. Thank you

Oh yeah that's some serious mouth rot but fortunately when caught early enough (like you did) your vet should have no issue administering an antibiotic probably through liquid or injection. Do you have any ideas what in her cage caused the rot?

Went to vet today, Vet said shes seen 10X worse and said I caught it early enough. She gave me two weeks worth of antibiotics. As to what caused it I am guessing an eggshell cut her and got infected or food just got stuck there to long. Thanks

Yay so happy she'll make an easy recovery :)
