Mr. T at 7 weeks enjoying his new home

Got this little guy two weeks ago and already moved him out of a 40 breeder to a 4'x18" enlosure. Have a 6' and an 8' ready to go in due time. This little guy is awesome, pounding f/t pinkies, liver, turkey, eggs, etc... just wish he would take some crickets, alive or dead. Set this new enclosure up with a 100w powersun and a heat panel behind the basking platform.. basking temps hitting 114, hope that is enough?? Ambient 84 and cool 79. Decided to divide up so he eats on the newspaper side of the bricks (no impaction) and he can burrow on the cool side in his hide. Love this guy, just wish he would eat a little more variety(crickets, fruits)..View attachment 7991

Cute little guy! Basking temp sounds plenty high and enclosure looks good for the time being. Just watch how quickly he grows! You'll be impressed!

Thx, he is completely relaxed and not skiddish at all when reaching in or handling. Can't wait to he gets to a snuggling size!!

I would swap out the bark with either coconut husk or a soil/peat moss/play sand mixture. Feed him outside of the cage as well and do away with the newspaper. Whats your plans on humidity and future cage?
