I just wanted to show off my new Extreme Tegu, his name is "BIGGIN". He came in at around a ft long fat and amazing color! I requested a Boy so I'm hoping bobby got it right when selecting him for me. Biggin already ate some turkey mixed with a boiled egg. he's already been in a couple hides within his cage, he has 3. It seems he likes to rest in the large cave then make his way to the hollow log opening in the back of cave that wraps back around tord the light where he rests his head and sleeps.I love how the hollow log and cork flat cave worked out. Anyway take a look at the links to his pics, they were taken with cell so they do his color no justice..

Oh and one question, Is it ok to run the red night/heat blub 24/7 for the added heat? will this effect the way he see's things or is it just that he can't see the red light?

wow he sure is a biggin! i think my guy may be the small one of the clutch, and i hope mines a boy too! i still love your setup, and i think he does too it seems. as i understand it, the night heat should be ok, and i don't think the red is mistaken for daylight.

Cool so I can run the day light with the red at same time with no problems.
Biggin sure does like his hides, He was very willing to let me hold him and was eating well too. I'm going to do my best to feed him the best and keep his home humid and warm. the auto mister will be a must as I've noticed just in a few hrs the humidity shifts. Would be nice to have a mister that's sensitive to humidity readings and could regulate it on its own vs me setting it for random times. I'm going to look into whats out there before I pick up the one I've chosen.

be sure and load some pics of yours I'd love to see others from Bobby
