MY FIRST TEGU!!

I bought him off someone on craigslist that didn't have the time to take care of him anymore. I was told he is about 2 years old but he seems sort of small for 2 years old. What do you guys think? Any name suggestions? I have been calling him Thanos.

Very nice find!

I'm not surd about size, as my girl is a year older and I'm unsure of growth spurts with these guys.

Ill leave that question to be answered by the pros!

You sure its a male? Looks female to me, he could be a lil bigger, but if he hibernated, how long he stayed under could affect his growth, as well as lighting, heat and diet

My 2 year olds were only 2.5ft (tops) when I got them in April. They've now packed on a few lbs and grown about a foot. Size depends on genetics, brumation/hibernation and diet. Diet is huge. Yours looks to be healthy in the pictures but yes, on the smaller size for a 2 year old. What do you plan on feeding it?

I think it could still be a male. Gary and Rango had small heads with now jowls but over the last couple months they have really started to come in.
