Mr T has been growing like a weed over the last month or so. Was off to rather a slow start but now pounding his feedings. Awesome animal!! Been keeping herps since I was 12(now 44), breeding Boas and Burms for the last 15 years and this was my first Tegu, immediately has jumped to the top of the list of reptiles that I call pets.

Looking good! You've done a fine job raising him as he looks very happy and healthy!
How long have you had him? What was it that really got him going on his feedings?

Hey Josh, I received him from Snakes At Sunsets on March 11 and they said he was appx 5 weeks old so i just use Feb 1st as his bday. I don't know, he went from taking 2-3 pinks a day to taking 10+ if i let him. Been alternating with chicken hearts, livers, quail eggs and salmon but he loves his whole prey. I feed him pinks and the next size up which are like pinky hoppers (right before fuzz starts) every other. I still dust with calcium (no d3), 5 days and on Fri and Mon I dust with calcium w/ d3 and a multi. Love owning this amazing creature :)
