My new tegu has yet to eat.. (Yes I read the other 100 posts about this. I just want reassurance)

So he's a new guy I just adopted. 2 1/2ft male with his enclosure. He's super sweet. I can tell his a little nervous, breathes heavy, etc. It's super obvious though he will not bite and he doesn't panic when I hold him. Anyway, he hasn't eaten since I got him on Friday of last week. Last night when I took him out, he walked to the bathroom and pooped which is good (that's what I want him to do). He seems more relaxed around everyone which is good and he is used to my scent. He comes to me if I sit down and he hides in my lap when I sit indian style.Just still not eating. Anyway I know and read that this is completely normal and he will eat. Just want some warm and fuzzies all will be ok. His humidity, temps, etc. are all spot on. Just curious how long can this fasting can last before I start to get worried. I leave fresh ground turkey, bananas, eggs with shell and smash it into a mush for him daily. I read that they really like eggs so I've been trying hard boiled or even raw eggs. Nothing yet. Anyway, how long before I worry? I know he's still adjusting and I see daily improvements with him. Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm not sure. If hot end is around 115F, and cool end with hide is mid-70s-80F, environment is good.

He's new. How new???? May take 1-4 weeks to settle. When I say settle I mean it. They heavily rely on stability and routine. So, for example newly-acquired might eat first day or so, then realize that this ain't Kansas anymore (Wizard of Oz) and hide and barely eat for the next three weeks. If qualified vet says OK, then be patient. They come around fast.

Among my 1.2, male all are gentle. One is shy, another is somewhat affectionate, the third should be a lap dog.

If his body form looks good, I would suspect it's nervousness associated with adjusting to a new place.

My tegu seemed to eat better and be more active/curious when I added enough bedding to tunnel and a huge shallow water bowl. She went from lazy and bored to active and redecorating.
