My new tegu, what kind do you think he is?

First and foremost I'm thrilled regardless of what kind he is. I wanted one with alot of white and that's what i got
They said he is an anery red tegu, but I've heard that's just a bunch of bull. He kinda looks like a blue, but he doesn't really have the "tears" that are normally associated with blues. he does have the double loreal scales, so he's argentine of some sort.

Alot of the blue tegus I see and to a lesser extent the reds look anything but blue or red to me ...

More pics from different angles would help. It could be just a black and white or a Red that hasn't developed much color yet

I can see more Red features than Blue,..at the same time it could be a hybrid,... but only time will tell. Nice come up either way

Have you checked out the tip of its tail,.. is it just kinked or what's going on down there :huh:

Yeah, there's a little break in his tail about an inch and a half up

Some powder blue scales are starting to show (of course they don't show up in a pic ), but he does have alot of features of a red. Ladies and gentlemen....I think I've got a red/blue hybrid

a pet store... I know yuck. I just went to look around and get some supplies, but i couldn't pass up that little guy. as soon as i saw him I pulled out my phone and checked my bank account. I've been wanting another gu, one with alot of white

she had just eaten maybe 5 minutes before the picture. Tegus bellies get very big after they eat. then the next morning they poop and look skinny again. then you feed them and the have a big belly again. then they poop (do you see the cycle here?)
