whenever i place her in there she tries with everything she has to climb up my arm and once in there all she does is walk around violently trying to climb out staring up... she walks right thru the turkey beef liver or eggs and ignores the food and once i put my arm in there she climbs right up it which she never does from her enclosure.... kind of frustrating but at least i havent seen her eat substrate in 2 days lol

Have you tried calming her down before placing her in her feeding bin? It's possible that she's just terrified of you being a possible "predator" to her. Try calming her down, petting her a little, gaining her trust, and then put her in the bin. She will still probably be scared and won't eat right away, but at least she won't walk through her food and ruin it. Eventually, she'll get bored and eat. If that doesn't work, leave her in her feeding bin to chill out for a while while you prepare her food. Give her some time, then put her food in. The goal is basically just to get her in her feeding bin with the food without her being so freaked out that she ruins her dinner by walking all over it.

That's really weird. She's probably just freaked out by the confined space. Just let her chill out in there for a little while, then put her food in.

Worst comes to worst you could take her out of the bin and while she is out of the bin lay paper towel over the top of the substrate and then place the food on a large plate within the cage. This will prevent both the eating of the substrate and cage aggression, though it is a pain to do two or three times a day.

I feed in-cage on a large plate to prevent impaction. My little guy won't freak out in a separate feeding bin, but he won't eat in one. He seems to only take food when he's underneath a basking light. lol

Have you tried not using a bin, maybe the bathtub or just out on the floor somewhere. I know its best not to feed inside the enclosure. But sometimes it takes time, too much time and you gotta do whats best for the animal.

My first Gu was a Columbian named Spaz (typical Columbian) that would flip out just from the sound of me walking into the room before she even saw me. Taking her out of her enclosure to feed her was an ordeal itself,..to a point where she stopped eating and drinking completely. Took her to the vet and everything checked out fine, nothing was broke, no parasites and she wasn't sick or anything. Besides the fact that she was dehydrated, lethargic and loosing weight from not taking anything. So,..I took her home and started force feeding her. To make a long story short, after she came around and started eating and drinking again I fed her in her enclosure. Until she was comfortable with me being around her and not freaking out. I used the same bowl everytime with a paper towel up under it. Even though her substrate was Eco Earth. Once she figured out that paper towel and bowl=food, I started feeding her outside of her enclosure. Tried a bin and she didn't like it, she liked to hide out in the pillows on my bed (until she got comfortable) when she was out so I tried feeding her there and she took right to it. The whole bed and pillows thing also helps with getting them use to your scent. Never had any other issues with her since then.

As for my B&W,..I tried feeding him in his enclosure and a bin but he was just too messy especially with meat mixes. So I fed him in the tub, easy clean up and he gets a bath and good soak afterwards. Now that he's primarily on a whole foods diet I feed him off of a plate on the floor or outside. What he doesn't eat,..my dog and the birds gladly finish :-D .

Just make sure you rinse the tub really well before you put your Gu in especially with food. If you try that method,...other than that it just takes time and you have to try different things until you find out what works.
