Hi everyone loki is in his new cage kinda hard to get the humidity just right. let me start by saying he has a heater on the left side that keeps his cage at 72 at night and about 80 degrees on the cool side. he has a 160watt powersun and a regular 160watt for the basking area. I also have a repti fogger. my question is should i take out the heat lamp and leave the powersun. does more heat create less humidity? also i need your guys concocktions for shedding his tail.

Have you tried warm water soaks for the shedding tail?
Try putting a bowl of water near one of the hotspots that should generate some water vapor and humidity.

You could use a light amount of mineral oil if you need to. Just keep it away from any orifices and the face.

My guy has shed quite a bit since having him. I like Joshs idea of the water bowl under the heat. A bowl of water naturally raises humidity.
Keep on with the warm bathes especially during shedding time. Yesterday I had to give meatloaf his, he always acts like I am trying to drown him first ( drama queen) but then figures out hey she is helping me ! lol I am very crazy about making sure he gets his important baths during shed to avoid and lost of nails/toes/ tips of tail. Just warm water soaks with me rubbing him works fine for my dude... :)

the shed ease worked great for me but i found you have to use a ton of it in a warm bath for about 20 minutes, then as soon as you take him out you can rub some aloe Vera on the area to help as well.
