so I recently rescued a 6 year old female Tegu from my work some guy brought it in and obviously wasn't taking good care of it. it looks like it is starting to develop MBD as of right now she can't really use her front legs. I took her in and I will do everything I can to get her back to health! someone told me to post on here and see what you can do to get their legs to start working again, his buddy had the same issue and they said she just up the calcium I was just wondering if there is any thing else you suggest? Thank you

Is she eating good? If so rats and chicken necks are great. Also time outside in natural sunlight will help tremendously.

How do you have her set up?

There is a product called t-rex solar drops liquid uvb. Its very hard to find but its the hands down best I have found for mbd. One drop a week that's all. Hydrate hydrate hydrate. Good luck.

Welcome to the site :) and thanks for coming.
My first reccomendation would be a Vet visit for basic health reasons but also to make sure nothing's broken.
In the mean time like previously mentioned changing her diet and getting her out side for some natural sunlight does wonders.

I had a bearded suspected of that and i used a syringe (without needle of course) and gave her electrolytes and water orally and also misted her with same for skin absorption.gave her more calcium and made certain her temps were right and uvb exposure. The calcium and uvb can and will reverse it. So don't give up! And yes hydration is of utmost importance!!!

Yes dubya...but only use the blue toilet water. It aids in digestion.
