A good friend of mine's mom said the tegu had to go, so it came to me! I'm unusual about the sex of this guy... I'm calling him a he for the time being and named him Ramesses (Ram-Ese). He's an Argentine, under a year old, still with a hint of green on his head. My friend got him from some kid in San Jose a few months ago. He's very sweet, layed with my mom and I for a good hour or so, he HATES being in his cage so I put lots of do-dads in there to entertain him. Hes a great eater, and doesn't refuse anything(finally I get something with no troubles!) Although he does have some kinks to his tail... I'm not sure if I'll be keeping him or not, I think 3 tegus and a savannah monitor might be a little much for me to feed... but I might just find myself becoming too attached. Time will tell! Thank goodness I just got a very well paying job!!!!
He's with my mom in a few of these pictures & exploring his newly setup cage:
His tail kinks and a weird bump, looks like a fat deposit? not like a cyst or tumor... causes him no pain, and does not change consistency in the feeling of his tail, its not gushy or harder than the rest.
