Hi! I've been researching tegu for a while, and today I had one sort of foisted onto me, so while I was preparing to eventually obtain one, I feel a little shaken up and flustered and unprepared! They are a very big commitment and while I'm ready for it, I'm just struggling through a lot of information trying to find the very best. The care sheets I've found have been mediocre, so I'm asking (as I run off to pick up her new enclosure) for everyone's preferred care info/what they consider the most accurate. I will post pictures and more info later!

Thanks in advance.

Congrats on the new addition to your family! Can't wait to see more photos of your tegu and her setup!
As for care info, let us know your specific questions and we will do our best to answer them!

There is a lot of information on the web about tegus. However, not all of it is up to date. I've had my Argentine black and white tegu for a month now and some things I'm learning as I go, but the enclosure is the most important thing to have accurate. You must have those temps right or nothing else is going to go right.
